A dispute has arisen because these waters are being claimed by
Morocco which questions Spain’s jurisdiction over the area. Regional governments
are concerned that the majority of the revenues will be snatched away by
Madrid and Repsol, leaving the Canaries with nothing little except the mess..

Bravo Espana! What a great match it was and a well deserved victory!
Even if you are not into football, the result would have been
obvious as the hordes took to the streets to celebrate. Even on the
quiet estate of Tamaragua, the fireworks were going off, horns
hooting and much whistling and cheering. Take a look at
Surfbum this week to see his pictures of

Life SEA SUNDAY - JULY 13th
Living on beautiful islands we are surrounded by crystal clear seas in which
we enjoy swimming, snorkelling and scuba diving, as well other exciting
water sports.
We are also aware of the passing ships and ferries making their way to
either Arrecife or Puerto del Rosario. We do not often give a thought about
the seafarers who live on these ships day after day and who bring essential
items, like food and fuel upon which we depend.
