Reviews of my Irish Tour

I'll just let these speak for themselves my darlings!

Fri November 16th

Kennie Webster Fuerteventura's King of Swing presented a fabulous show in Templeogue United Clubhouse.

Starting with the music of Ole Blue Eyes he continued as he started in fantastic form. Dressed in a pinstriped suit his stage presence commanded the audience's attention. His version of 'Mack the knife' was as near perfect as Bobby Darin's. Kennie finished his first half with a fantastic dance routine on a very small stage with 'Dancing Fool ' from the musical "Copa Cabana". The second half opened with Kennie coming on stage in a white dinner jacket singing 'Baker Street' by Gerry Rafferty much to the delight of the audience. He again visited "the Copa" with 'Copa Cabana' and 'Sweet Heaven' . The Blues Brothers medley had the audience on their feet, dancing and rocking the club. Finishing off the night with 'Born to Sing Forever' by Dame Shirley Bassey, Kennie Webster was born to sing and entertain with his stage presence and professionalism.

Saturday Nov 17th
The apprehensive audience awaited Her, Fuerteventura's {Drag} Queen of Comedy, the fabulous Miss Sadie B.

Her comedic brilliance was as usual fantastic, 'interacting' with the audience 'she' brought a smile to everyone before she disappeared off stage and reappeared as Dame Shirley Bassey in some amazing gowns, yes Sadie mimes to Dame Shirley but she has all of the mannerisms and expressions of the great Welsh Diva. Sadie left the stage for a few minutes before the Grande Finale was announced and Kennie.
Webster appeared insuring the audience that she (Sadie) had been locked away, again his professionalism shone through with Kennie this time sitting on a stool telling jokes before launching into a short medley of songs from the Swing show. Again finishing with 'Born to Sing Forever' Kennie eventually got to mingle with his audience after three encores and two standing ovations.

Thankfully Kennie thinks of Dublin as his second home and will be back in Templeogue United in April 2008.
