Goodbye Abbey Road

Last week, that lovely friendly bar opposite Blue Jeans restaurant, had a drink the bar dry party to commemorate its closing. Eileen has decided that she wants a few evenings to herself, not surprising considering that she can be found most mornings in her other business, Penny Lane. She also wants to do a creative writing course and devote some time to her favourite charity, Fair Trials Abroad.

The bar will be a sad loss to Corralejo, but will shortly be reopening with Keith and Gillian at the helm who used to run it when it was the Sports bar. They will be sharing the workload with their business partners, David and Dawn.

It was a crazy night that ended in a group Karaoke session, which managed to break the mirror behind the bar! If you want to hear a sample there's a video clip here,  the visual quality is appalling, but somehow I don't think that the performers will mind!

Ian, of waxed chest fame, kept his shirt very firmly on this time!

The lovely Carla was also there, showing off more than her nails!

And I think Stuart did more than his share of the drinking - and he still rode his push bike home!
