CRICKED NECK STORIES

A strange and painful week dear readers. The pain courtesy of a twisted neck, quite how that happened is anyone’s guess. The strange contributed courtesy of an encounter with a joint offering gent whose English was, I thought spoken with a Nordic twang, turns out he hailed from the Spanish mainland having learned English in Cambridge, Groovy as he indicated.

And

Interviewed by a local Spanish paper doing a survey about who eats island produced cheese! I thought it was a wind up at first, but sure enough there I was, the next day picture and all…..

The language learning curve continues upward, and I suppose the fact I was reasonably confident talking about Spanish cheese eaters on a street somewhere in the islands capital is some form of positive indictment.

And

if that’s not enough, having treated myself to a new laptop I discover that everything (should that be todo?) is in Spanish. Carpetas have replaced files herramientas where the tools should be …but of course EVERYTHING is in Spanish…well it would be. Doh! Clearly my name isn’t Sherlock.

On a different note (sic) went to Lebranchorock in Puerto on Saturday night….if only for a couple of hours. Some of the bands were visually and musically scary ….Blackened being one in question

…but there is a gent whom I would like to contact. A photographer, whose style I particularly liked. A bad picture is included but if its you or if you know him I would love to swap ideas….

talk again soon
