What
a party on Saturday ……..the drummers were drumming, the dancers
dancing, the Queens well, they were being regal, and then there
were others of dubious gender!
I
left at about four (de la madrugada) in the morning…getting the
impression the party was just warming up.
But
hey, does anyone know what its all about? The carnival has been
going on for as long as anyone can remember, and appears to be
a party for no particular reason. It must celebrate some
significant event?
I
understand the ultimate night, which closes proceedings,
involves a Sardine, but I missed out on that as my old bones
just said no.
