ABUELO JACINTO

Ever since the social club closed in Tamaragua, there has been nowhere to go locally for a bite and a drink. Well at last some of the locales are opening up in the shopping centre, most welcome of which is Abuelo Jacinto, a bar cafeteria.

Many of you will recognise Jacinto, who was commonly known as smiler when he ran the Social club. He runs this, together with his son - also Jacinto - and wife.

The decoration inside is clean and cheerful and there is plaenty of outside space on which to soak up the rays of the evening sun.

The menu is varied, a whole host of breakfasts; sandwiches; burgers; tapas; and even steaks and fish. So whatever you fancy, you can be assured of finding it here.

The food was well cooked and presented, the portions generous  and the prices are extremely reasonable.

The bar is open every day apart from Sunday from early morning until late. Please don't let this cafe go the way of the social club, use it or lose it! To find it turn left at the roundabout at the entrance to the estate and the bar is about half way along.
