What now you must all think in this quiet relaxed life
of ours. Friday night a night out with Andy on the
harbour, a new bar and restaurant La Chanalan
over-looking the Marina with all the white gleaming
yachts, (maybe one day)
Fred Astaire eat your heart out as we have a flamenco
dancer performing and Tap Tap away she did on a wooden
stage, deafening was all I could say but magnificent she
was with all the contortions of the face expressing the
story in the dance.
Four guys accompanied her who are original gypsies
playing authentic fireside songs.
I f you can, go as every Friday she performs and well
worth an evening walk there.
Quite a different venue and taste in music next as we
went to Castaways on Sunday afternoon for a jamming
Session, where all the talented musicians of Corralejo
meet and entertain us free.
Trevor (as of Slade) was seen playing his first guitar
as bought by his dad in 1965,I remember that year well,
but tattered and battered it looked, Trevor played it
well and got us all in the mood.
Derek of Rogues Gallery blasted out some Rock &Roll
accompanied by Phil (Neil Diamond) and Dave Brown who is
resident entertainer in Talk of the Town.
Wendy Walker sang the one and only Mustang Sally and we
all screeched out “Ride Wendy Ride) I think we all got
that wrong but the atmosphere was electric so go with
the flow .
John the holidaymaker joined in but I am sure he did not
realize he had some pretty famous band members backing
him. Hope he enjoyed himself and I must say he was a
pretty good singer.
Al &Val of A.V.M.Kitchens as always were first ones up
jiving and bopping and then more joined in but me I
could only smell the lovely food being cooked by Karen
&Mark the chefs so as usual I was at the food bar
eating!!!
Brilliant afternoon so if you want to join in, these
great musicians will be at Castaways once a month so
might see you there.
MY NEPHEW LEE IS OUT THIS WEEK SO I HAD BETTER BEHAVE
AND ACT LIKE A REAL AUNT BUT THEN HE IS 34 YEARS OLD SO
MAYBE HE WILL WANT A QUIET TIME YEAH YEAH
