UK VISIT TO VISIT FRIENDS WAS
GREAT - PROBLEM WAS THEY FOLLOWED ME BACK..
No peace for the
wicked so they say but then I am not wicked just mad.
I arrive safe and sound in the U.K. and with my own
passport and not Andy’s as I did last time.
My
brother Martins the first stop and a nice meal and a
lovely warm bed but the only problem was that I kept
them up until 3’0clock in the morning chatting and
chatting and catching up, I bet they were glad I was
only staying one night. I must say they entertained me
well as you can see by the photos.
Torquay next stop at Mother-in-laws and a lovely hot
water bottle, I suppose a good replacement, as Andy was
not with me. It was a fluffy pink bunny, the mind
boggles!
New Look, River Island, Primark its I’m SURE HAVING A
FIX WHEN I enter these shops and leaving with carrier
bags full, if I was rich I would still shop in these
places but have some dishy hunk carry my bags and make
me a cuppa when we arrived home, is that all you think
but shopping is kn---kering.
Party
now tonight, all the Pubrats are out celebrating Chris
Moores Retirement and he is only a young 55years but
then he is a civil servant (lucky bugger), but what a
party - eat and then eat more and then boogey to shed
the excess fat.
It
was great seeing old friends oh I had better rephrase
that seeing people I had not seen for a few years, some
fatter or thinner and some even looked younger, must ask
them the secret maybe they had been under the knife .I
am still saving for that Nip &Tuck its got to be done.
I
love get togethers but the weather, such a damper! That
you party and dance and sip the alcohol and where ever
you are you are nice and warm and content, with
wonderful friends but the moment you walk outside in the
U.K.your teeth chatter on their own, shoulders hunched
under your ears and hugging the nearest friend just for
warmth and to top it all the legs don’t seem to listen o
the brain.
I
blame the weather but possibly the Bacardi & cokes did
not help.
HAPPY RETIREMENT CHRIS AND NOW WITH SO MUCH TIME TO
SPARE WE ARE SURE WE WILL BE SEEING YOU SOON.
HOME AGAIN FOR A REST.
There
coming again, this time it’s the Gambles my great
friends Tracey & Pete. The last time we saw them was
when they were cruising the islands and we met them in
Lanzarote and spent the day.
We picked them up from the airport and as usual all of
Corralejo is there waiting for family and friends so you
can catch up on all the local gossip.
Now
these were the type of friends that are great, they just
wanted to rest so I did not have to see the Wreck, climb
the Dunes, Watch the sun go down in El Cotillo and do
the vocal strains of Karaoke.

It was a nice chilled out week and my apartment never
looked so tidy as Tracey really looked after me and even
made me a Cuppa when I came home from work.
It
was more a holiday for me so come back soon you two.
I really appreciated them visiting as I knew it was not
easy for them as Pete hates flying, that’s why they only
go cruising but he made the effort and it could only
happen to them!!
They
were just as they thought nearing the East Midlands when
the seat belt sign came on so his worst nightmare was
over he thought but NO “The captain speaking, we are low
on fuel so we will be landing in France at the nearest
SHELL OR TEXACO station to refuel “
The mind goes into overtime I am sure was the tail
falling off or is it just fuel, the problem is we watch
too many films and Harrison Ford was not there to help.
Tracey said the pilot must have wanted to use the loos
or maybe he still collected Green Shield stamps anyway
all was well and one hour later they were on British
soil.
NEXT PLEASE
That dreaded brother again Ray and Rachael, we dropped
Pete &Tracey off and returned with this pair. This will
be their third visit in 9 months; I think they are
captured by the Fuerteventura beauty and weather. They
do love it here but this time I needed my car cleaned
and as he is a professional car valet with hidden
extras, like when he does this job I will not have to
polish again for one year as he has secret potions that
totally protect the car from sea, sand and the elements.
Where’s my car?
It
looked brand-new, the wheels painted, the roof
protected, the paintwork even after three days just
needed a dust. Now that’s easy for us women as dusting
comes naturally, I even noticed he sprayed underneath
with a protection and under the bonnet I have a clean
gleaming engine. I bet I have the cleanest car on the
Island.
Maybe we can talk him in to living here then you can all
have gleaming cars that don’t rust so easy,
Well we did not have to entertain much again as he
worked so hard on my car but we did drive him to Morra
Jable for the day and as usual the weather was great.
I cant write anymore as they have to be taken to the
airport and Andy and I can chill out until our next
arrivals Alison my bestest mate and her two girls in
three weeks.
I must just add I LOVE IT, I LOVE VISITORS.
KEEP COMING!!!
