THE TOTAL NIGHT
COST ME 4 EUROS!
What an unexpected night out as all I was going to do
was walk Andy up town, as he was having a meal with his
mate Norman and then drinks with Andrew.
I needed to feed all my stray cats on the town beach and
then stroll home and watch a D.V.D having a quiet
relaxing evening, while my husband helped finance the
bars.
My cats were so pleased to see me with their tails in
the upright position and purring, then fighting as feral
cats do for the food. I have been supplying these cats
with sustenance for 5 years but I am no closer to
stroking one more likely to be spat at and clawed. Talk
about looking after the hand that feeds you, I wish
someone would tell them!!!!!
Well covered in cats hairs and smelling not too good I
start to go home but hear “Elena””
There was Marouka and Flora who own the house where all
the cats shelter looking slightly tiddley and singing
and dancing.

They called me over to meet their friends where they fed
me with fish Marouka had caught that morning plus goat
and ribs, Washed down with bottle of beer.

Bearing in mind I was the only English person at this
table and tone deaf I was quite surprised they asked me
to sing, dance and strum the guitar with them. The
Spanish men can certainly sing a mean tune and it was so
authentically Spanish, I thought of Andy in his English
bar having a pint, if he had known he would rather be
here with the Spanish.
All the tourists were smiling at us as they passed; as
it was Canarian Day and a Bank holiday so all the
Spanish were celebrating their Independence.

I must admit my Spanish was not bad as I did not have a
choice but they did correct me like a naughty
schoolgirl.
Three beers later I must go home I thought as I was not
dressed for night out, on the way home I called in
Rogues Gallery where Jo our friendly Landlady gave me
yet another beer and said she was off duty in 10 minutes
and shall we have a drink together.
Blue Rock here we come and another beer later and Jo and
I noticed a new restaurant opening across the way DOVELA.

Over we stroll and receive a lovely welcome from the
owners Ricardo &Vasco and given a glass of white wine,
then another, and another Free!!!
The venue was superb with wonderful paintings of
beautiful people on the walls which were done by
Vasco. The ambience is so romantic and relaxing with a
feeling of it attracting trendy, classy, young even old
like myself people who want something different and
tasteful.

All the staff were certainly picked for there experience
and the fact they were beautiful looking with the
ability to speak English helped and they did serve a
mean Gin &Tonic
Jo and I were pleased to see such hunky men but then no
reason why we can’t just look !!!.

They served us Canapés and they were scrumptious and
again Free.
I was so impressed with it all and the décor was just
!!

Black, silver and pink and the black chandeliers were
just to die for, so I booked Andy &I for a meal on the
Monday..

I really hope the place goes well as it is so nice to
have somewhere to go where you can wear a nice frock and
maybe the bling!!!.
Good Luck to Ricardo &Vasco and please do try a visit as
the food was different but good and the great thing is
the menu will be changed every month
As you can guess especially those who know me I was
quite tiddly now so I walked Jo back to Rogues and Lo
Behold there was Andy and he looked quite shocked to see
me still around and slightly under the influence of
alcohol so when I told him I had only spent FOUR EUROS
what could he say??????????????
Also at the bar were Duds AND Ali the grapevine owners
but thank goodness they did not have there camera as one
month in the Grapevine looking like ??

Great night out with no make-up on and in work clothes
but who cares, all my friends just were there!!!!!!.
Even Derek looked on and as usual had that
smile!!!!!!!!!!!!!
