Hello Darlings!!!
Well, it’s now official…
I’m an INTERNATIONAL SUPERSTAR!!! I recently got back from my
first tour date in Dublin (that’s Ireland by the way) at a
friends club so Dublin could get a taster of what is to come,
The show was fantastic and I had a wonderful time, everyone
was so friendly and welcoming, I’ll tell you all about it but
first I would like to say a huge thank you to the people of Templeogue, especially the Potts family for allowing me to
take over their house (and lives) for 5 days!!!
I left Fuerteventura with
its wonderful 19 degrees at 9.30am, boarded the aircraft and
was DISGUSTED to see NO FIRST CLASS SECTION… So they Hung a
curtain for me (God Bless Ryanair). A very pleasant flight
with a well stocked drinks trolley (well… it was well stocked
at the START of the flight!!) and of course updating my
membership to the Mile high club started my tour in the right
way.
I arrived in Dublin refreshed and ready, my bags came
off the carousel (or so I was told… I mean I don’t get dogs
and bark myself do I???), drifted towards the doors where my
car was waiting, the doors swished open and the fresh air
filled my nostrils, am I painting a nice picture??... oh
good… BECAUSE IT WAS F***ING FREEZING!!! Thankfully the car
had been left running with the heater on… 30 minutes later I
arrive at my abode with a fabulous Irish welcome… that being
hugs, air kisses and a pint of Guinness shoved into my hand.
A wonderful 3 course dinner was to follow (that being a roast
dinner as one course and two pints of Guinness for the next
two courses).
The day of the show was
quite hectic (or so I was told… I spent the day at L’Avenue
Salon getting titivated by Donna and Joanne), the day started
with a proper Irish Breakfast, this consisting of… Bacon,
Sausages, Beans, Tomatoes, 2 poached eggs, mushrooms, black
pudding, white pudding, toast and 15 pints of Guinness.
Then
off for the sound checks… The hall had been decorated as I
was doing the Valentines special, I had a new gown made
especially for the show and the work wasn’t all from my side
either… The Club house had hung a Black curtain and lights on
the stage to emulate my stage here in Fuerteventura (granted…
mine isn’t hung up with FORKS and BLUE TACK).
Honestly…
everyone had gone to so much effort to make me feel at home
the least I could was give it my all… and I did, 2 hours and
3 standing ovations later I get to mingle with who are quite
possibly the NICEST people on earth.
It wasn’t only Dublin
residents that filled the place, People had travelled up from
the south of Ireland, and even two friends of mine flew from
LONDON to catch the show… So thanks Debbie and Nikki… See you
in Vegas in April!! I am back in Dublin again in May for a
further 2 evenings so for you Dubliners out there reading
this… will keep you posted of dates and ticket availability.
Next came a trip to
Dublin Zoo… this was fascinating!!! In December, the Potts
family adopted a Grey Wolf in my Fathers name, so Kitty and I
went along to see him… He was STUNNING as you can see from
the picture and I can’t think of a more fitting tribute to
who was a wonderful man… so thank you Mick, Paula, Linda,
Louise and Darragh (Squink). The Zoo was clean and the
animals incredibly well looked after… so Congratulations
Dublin Zoo… Keep up the good work!!
Now I’m back here in the
sun and my champers firmly fixed in my hand (and it’s so nice
to be holding a normal glass that isn’t PINT sized and saying
Guiness all over!!!), and back to grind stone (not for me
naturally) for Kitty, Francesca and Gill making the 14 news
outfits for my new show.
Thank you again Dublin…
See you in May!!! To the rest of you, thanks for reading and
I’ll see you in the club again soon…
Ta Ta!!!
Sadie. XxX
